HeyGen Ambassador since December 23, 2025: AI video becomes part of the business process

On December 23, 2025, I was accepted into the HeyGen Ambassador Program. For me, this is less of a title and more of a validation of an approach we’ve already been actively pursuing in client projects: treating AI video not as a gimmick, but as a productive, integrable component of communication and knowledge transfer.

Videos can make complex content easy to understand, convey knowledge in a more personal way, and reach people who wouldn't read a long guide. At the same time, professional video production has often been slow, expensive, and difficult to keep up to date.

Generative video platforms are changing this landscape. However, what matters most is not how quickly a single avatar video can be created. The real value only emerges when AI-generated video is embedded in a transparent business process.

HeyGen Ambassador since December 23, 2025

I'm especially pleased to have been accepted into the HeyGen Ambassador Program because it combines practical application, knowledge sharing, and interaction within the community.

As an Ambassador, I don’t just want to showcase new features. I’m interested in which tasks can actually be handled more effectively with them in day-to-day business operations—and where people, editorial responsibility, or traditional production are still needed.

A good AI video doesn't start with an avatar. It starts with a clear objective, a reliable source, and the question of what message you want to convey to your audience.

From a Video Tool to a Robust Workflow

We are already making extensive use of HeyGen in client projects. Applications range from individual explanatory and training videos to repeatable workflows in which content is regularly updated or adapted for different target audiences and languages.

Typical areas of application include, for example:

• Onboarding and training of employees,
• Explanatory videos for products, processes, and digital services,
• multilingual knowledge transfer,
• recurring communication with customers and partners,
• personalized video modules within defined campaigns,
• as well as the rapid testing of new communication formats.

Not every use case requires automation. However, if similar videos are to be produced regularly from structured content, technical integration becomes crucial.

Active Use of the HeyGen API

In client projects, we therefore use HeyGen not only through the user interface, but also actively via the API. This makes video generation a building block in a larger process.

In simple terms, such a process might look like this:

1. Approved content is imported from a line-of-business system, a data source, or an editorial template.
2. Text, language, avatar, voice, and the desired output format are combined according to defined rules.
3. Video generation is initiated via the API.
4. The technical status is checked, and the result is accepted upon completion.
5. The video undergoes a technical and editorial review before it is published or shared.

The HeyGen API thus enables a connection between existing content and scalable video production. For businesses, this is much more appealing than a standalone tool: there’s no need to gather and manually transfer information from scratch for each video.

Automation Needs Clear Guidelines

Just because a video can be generated automatically doesn't mean it should be published automatically. Clear lines of responsibility are especially important when it comes to training, product information, or personalized communication.

Before implementation, we clarify the following, among other things:

• Which source is considered the authoritative one?
• Who is authorized to approve texts, voices, avatars, and translations?
• What personal and usage rights must be observed?
• What data may be transferred to a cloud service?
• How are changes, versions, and releases documented?
• Where is human quality control absolutely essential?

Whether a cloud service and a specific API integration are suitable for a project depends on the data, purpose, contracts, security requirements, and the chosen process. The mere existence of a technical option does not constitute blanket approval in terms of data protection or quality.

What Makes for Good AI Videos

The avatar is visible. However, the real work often comes before that: streamlining content, understanding target audiences, prioritizing messages, phrasing things naturally, and developing a meaningful visual rhythm.

A successful AI video should therefore not appear as artificially perfect as possible. It should be understandable, credible, and useful for the task at hand. Sometimes a short, clear explanatory clip is better than an elaborate production. Sometimes having a real person in front of the camera is essential. And often, a combination of both approaches works best.

To me, being an Ambassador means: trying things out, making sense of them, and passing them on

As a HeyGen Ambassador, I want to test new possibilities early on, share insights from real-world projects, and provide companies with a realistic assessment: What’s already working well? Where is economic value being created? What limitations or risks need to be taken into account?

The interesting question isn't whether AI will generate videos in the future. That's already been happening for a long time. What's interesting is how companies will turn this into a reliable process that makes knowledge more accessible while taking quality, rights, and responsibility seriously.
