From Web Content to AI Podcast: Bringing Content to Life in a New Way
Good content doesn't have to stay in its original format.
What happens when a classic “Who am I?” website isn’t summarized, but instead reimagined as a conversation? In an experiment, I used HeyGen to transform the text into a conversational AI podcast—playful, yet with a serious core.
Repurposing is more than just copying
Web content is linear. A dialogue requires roles, rhythm, questions, and tension. AI can provide the initial structure and voices. However, editorial work remains crucial: Which statements resonate? What kind of dramatic build-up suits the character? At what point does entertainment become a distortion of reality?
A robust workflow
- Condense the source text to its key messages.
- Determine the target audience and the desired impact.
- Design a dialogue that incorporates different perspectives.
- Check the facts, names, and tone.
- Clearly label the use of AI and gather feedback.
This principle can be applied to training, product knowledge, internal communication, or expert contributions. A piece of content can reach different audiences in the form of an article, a short video, an audio clip, or a workshop introduction.
Conclusion: AI does more than just scale up production. When used correctly, it expands the ways in which knowledge can be experienced and understood.
