Thumbnails and their effect in social media

Anyone who has ever posted a link of their website in social media knows the problem, Facebook, LinkedIN and Co use any photo of the website, sometimes a suitable one, often an impossibly enlarged logo.

It would be nice to be able to define a separate image for each post.

This is where "Open Graph Data" comes in handy, it can be used to store specific images in the website that will be used in social media when posting.

Most websites are maintained with a CMS system, here the search engine of your choice will help and search for Open Graph Data and the name of their CMS system.

For Wordpress and Typo3 tools like YOAST help, often the free version of the manufacturer is enough.
