OpenAI recently introduced new features and products for developers, including an Assistants API that provides new tools such as code interpreters, retrieval and function calls. This API enables, for example, the creation of a data-based analytics app, a coding assistant, an AI-driven vacation planner and a voice-controlled DJ.

Another significant upgrade is GPT-4 Turbo with image processing capabilities, which allows images to be read into the Chat Completions API to generate image captions or analyze documents with images.

DALL-E 3 has also been introduced, allowing developers to integrate images directly into their applications, with a built-in moderation system to prevent abuse.

The offering has also been expanded to include a text-to-speech API that can generate human-like speech output from text.

With the new GPTs, a private AI application can be created purely with language without programming, very cool.
