Flipped Nexus AIM: AI Maturity Based on Clarity, Not Gut Feelings
The product line launched with Flipped Nexus AIM: a free AI maturity assessment across five dimensions that provides concrete guidance on the next steps.
Flipped Nexus AIM was the first step in the Flipped Nexus product line. The idea behind it is deliberately straightforward: Before companies purchase new AI tools or launch pilot projects, they need a reliable picture of their current situation.
AIM—now referred to as "Flipped Nexus Maturity " on the product page—allows you to assess your current status in just a few minutes. The free basic test requires no registration and provides a preliminary assessment based on your answers.
Five Dimensions Instead of a Single AI Score
AI maturity is not limited to a single technological issue. Flipped Nexus AIM considers five equally important dimensions:
- Strategy: Goals, prioritized use cases, budget, and metrics.
- Data: availability, quality, structure, and use in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Technology: Infrastructure, interfaces, automation, and appropriate AI services.
- Organization: Skills, Responsibilities, Training, and Willingness to Change.
- Governance and Regulatory Compliance: Guidelines, Risk Assessment, and Alignment with the EU AI Act.
The responses paint an overall picture, categorized into five maturity levels. This reveals whether the company is still seeking direction, conducting initial pilot projects, or has already integrated AI into its operational processes in a controlled manner.
What the analysis actually provides
The analysis consists of 20 core questions and—depending on the answers—additional follow-up questions. The basic version takes about five to ten minutes to complete.
- immediate assessment of the current level of AI maturity,
- a separate assessment of the five dimensions,
- visible gaps and areas for action that can be prioritized,
- Guidance for the next logical step in implementation.
It is important to make this distinction: The result is a structured basis for decision-making. It does not replace an audit, legal advice, a data protection review, or certification.
From Findings to an Actionable Roadmap
A score alone does not change a process. That is why, if needed, the free assessment can be supplemented with a detailed report, an AI consulting chat, or an executive briefing featuring a live avatar. The focus is on specific priorities and a realistic 90-day outlook.
For executives and project managers, AIM thus serves primarily as a common basis for discussion: business units, IT, and management can discuss the same metrics instead of starting the tool selection process with different assumptions.
The First Installment in the Flipped Nexus Series
AIM answers the first question: Where do we stand, and what is the next logical step? The product line is built on this foundation. The Flipped Nexus Desk followed as the controlled AI workspace for operational use.
